I’ve been building furniture for over 20 years and made the move to full-time maker in 2019. I spent the majority of my life in North Eastern PA until my wife and I relocated to Connecticut in early 2022.
I was heavily inspired by my grandfather growing up. While not a craftsman himself, he had a very hands-on approach to life and things in general. I bought my first house in the late 90s and quickly found that I preferred to take care of things myself.
That translated to furnishings as well, since I just never saw the value in the poorly constructed pieces at most of the local furniture sellers. While mostly self-taught, I strive to learn all the time and continue to take classes at regional wood schools.
Only The Best Materials
My personal tastes lie heavily in Scandinavian modern/mid-century modern style with its clean-flowing lines, but I also have an appreciation for many other styles, including traditional and mission style pieces. I truly see the natural beauty in wood and while I start with an initial design, I enjoy letting the piece come to life on its own throughout the build process. I’m fortunate enough to do this thing I love every day.
